@ orphan, I've been having the exact same problem against UG turbo land, but like you said, negates after sideboard puts the deck almost on par with UG turbo land, but not by much since they will also side in negates to mirror us. Pre SB games I've played against UG turbo land so far out of 9 games using the updated build from this article, every one of my matches was a loss. Post SB its still a 50/50 game, but much better than w/o the negates pre SB, since you will be sitting there waiting for the Time Warp / Avenger combo to go off sooner than our eldrazi ever seeing play even with ramps.

P. S. - Oracle of Mul Daya is da bomb

Great Article, and congrats on the win. It seeks to me that the 4 o-rings were a little to much for you in this tournament, i was just wondering, if you had access to Baneslayer what would it have booted out of the SB, and how would it change your sb plan?

I have been playing this deck since Flores' 1st post and it has been nothing short of nuts! The only real trouble I have been having is against the UG turbo land deck. All is Dust makes the matchup better than other UW decks have against it, but it doent seem to be enough. Is anoyone else having this trouble? What do you think about negates cracking the sb?

I've been testing with the list from the previous post for a few days now. I've found a deck that gives me a really hard time. It's called 'Mythic Red'. see <a href="http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=237565" rel="nofollow"> for a deck list.

Basically, it time walks you back with land destruction, plays tough efficient creatures/planeswalkers, and also tosses out Lodestone Golem to make your life more difficult. You end up so off tempo, that you just never are able to stabilize out before they burn you to death or hit you with Dread Statuary. Very tough matchup.

Siding in Negate's seems to not be enough. Baneslayers are eating removal before they are able to stabilize your life count. Kor Firewalker ends up being too small of an effect here, as the deck can use Dread Statuary, Lodestone Golem, or a leveled/flying Kargan Dragonlord to make them rather a moot point. Perhaps more spot removal is required? Also, the deck uses All is Dust in the sideboard, adding trouble in for your planeswalkers.

Also had a problem with not enough draw power. The incremental draw of the previous list is nice for when you're on tempo, however I think the inclusion of Mind Spring is probably a good idea. Gives you a burst type draw effect for when you're behind.

Any thoughts on how to tweak the list for this matchup?

@ troacctid:

Yes. It was a misplay on my opponents part. I didn't catch it until 2 turns later when he complained about his lack of color fixing. I pointed out then that he threw away his lens.

I only remembered it being AiD'ed as I wrote the article. I forgot to mention the Judging Call that should've happened. Thanks for the "point out". All is Dust apparently isn't just a euphamism.

@ Ezerhorden:

Not dense at all. The exact opposite buddy. I worked off the list Flores sent me - as is found on his blog (Either of the 2 articles entailing his Floredrazi Control build). If I owned BS Angels then it would be a simple shift into my SB. No MD changes. I found Gideon to serve a vital role every time I was able to lay him down.

I have spent the last year playing w/o any BS Angels. She is a bad mama-jamma, but I've done well without her. As I stated earlier I would gladly sleeve her if I owned any.

@ BrendanJourney:

I agree 100%. People are sleeping on this deck. And post rotation it is still kicking hard. A Strong deck to sleeve up and play against the field. Flores gave us a great concept, and I (for one) choose to run with it until I am asked to once again play another one of his [Flores] creations.

Sorry if I'm coming off as a little dense, but you mentioned that an original list was given to you before you made changes to what your current deck as is now. Is the original list based on the deck list from the article; Yep - All is Dust or is there a separate list albeit some minor changes? If you had BSAs (MB or SB), what would the tweaks had been to the deck (MB & SB)?

Regards,

Ezer

I'm definitely taking Floresdrazi to the Atlanta PTQ this Saturday. Hopefully I finish in that elusive top 8 or possibly find a blue envelope in my future. If I do, I'll definitely be writing a tournament report for fivewithflores.com. The deck is basically completely off the radar and I can't wrap my head around that at all. I've won the past two FNM's with it and finished 2nd in our Block Constructed tournament with it converted over. Everyone at my local FNM hates the deck. I love it. I'll be playing this deck for a while.

@ Urikkiru:

Hey! Thanks for the comment, and insight. I, however, do not own any BS Angels - so that is why I had to refine and tweak both the MD and Sideboard from the original list given to me. If I did own they would definitely be in the SB.

This deck list looks a little more refined. I like the inclusion of Mind Spring over Sphinx of Lost Truths, main decked Gideon. I'm curious about the lack of Baneslayers in the sideboard though, replacing them with Elspeth. The life gain from Baneslayer seems relevant in a few match ups. Thoughts?
