		<description>Must be nice.  I get praise so rarely that I almost printed out Mike&#039;s post proclaiming me a poet to frame for my wall.

I actually think that that comment points out an underappreciated aspect of theory writing: that it quantifies the obvious.  Even if people understood what a &quot;scissors&quot; deck was before, it would take a lot of time to explain.  Now we can do it in one word.  Things like card advantage, temperature, inevitability, phases, etc. are not ultimately difficult concepts, nor is it hard to grasp their strategic implications, but (at least my) thinking is greatly streamlined by such discussion.</description>
